Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, also known as “TMJ syndrome” can be a painful condition that you’ll want to get treated.
The main symptoms of TMJ are pain or tenderness in the face, jaw joint area, neck and shoulders, and in or around the ear when you chew, speak, or open your mouth wide. You may also have difficulty opening your mouth wide or have your jaws get stuck or locked in the open or closed position.
Because some of these symptoms are shared with other conditions we will fully examine and discuss your symptoms with you to make a proper diagnosis.
Depending on the severity of your TMJ we can suggest some adjustments and relaxation methods to try at home. If it is severe we may suggest a bite appliance or medication.
Don’t live with the pain of TMJ, come in and let us help you find relief.
